We are a local club, which was started by two women who share the love of scrapbooking and just wanted some quality time away from the distractions of life to be able to sit down and work on their scrapbooks and crafts while enjoying the friendships of others.
The club is open to new comers and out-of-towners who share the love of crafts and scrapbooking and who enjoy making new friends.
We currently meet at the Madrid Community Room at 3rd & Water St. normally on the first Saturday of every month except when a holiday falls on that weekend; we then meet on the second Saturday.
At these sessions, we do require a minimum fee of $2.00 to help pay for the room rental.
We sometimes have demonstrations on crafts or techniques for anyone wanting to learn them or share their craft knowledge with others. We usually have a decorated theme each month as well as treats or occasional potlucks.
An attendance prize is drawn as an incentive to attend each month. We would like to see our club continue to grow on a monthly basis.
In the future we look to grow through developing sister clubs in other towns and join together once a year to gather as one working group of many circles of friends.
If you have a circle of friends who like to craft or scrapbook. We would welcome their new friendships. Feel free to visit our website, which is continuously developing in growth and betterment, and visit our downloaded newsletters as well as our forums at www.circleoffriendsclub.org
The Circle of Friends Scrapbooking Club & More will host a crop or craft event for a free-will donation which will be held at the Madrid Elementary School Cafeteria along with some Scrapbooking and Stamping vendors in attendance for your shopping or cropping convenience.
