A minor vehicle accident was reported at Kennedy and W. Second Street.  Chief Brown assisted the drivers with exchange of driver and vehicle information.

Cady Ugolini, Madrid, reported the theft of her Gemeinhardt brand flute from the music room at the Madrid High School, between March 10th and March 14th.

Cory Neely, Madrid, was cited for speeding.

Brent Hansen, Madrid, reported being harassed by his neighbor via the mail and notes left at his residence.  The suspect was contacted by certified mail and advised to discontinue her contact or face criminal charges.

Officer Olmstead cited Jonathan Dieterich, 24, of Madrid, doing business as Who’s Lounge, into court for permitting the consumption of alcoholic beverages at the Who’s Lounge between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Officer Olmstead assisted Madrid Rescue with a rescue call in the 600 block of S. Washington St.

Officer Olmstead received a complaint reference a suspicious person selling magazine subscriptions in the 500 block of Milwaukee St.  The individual was located and found to be operating without a city permit.  That subject, along with four others was told to cease sales until an appropriate permit is acquired.

Sergeant Zeutenhorst was called to 616 S Main St to speak with Scott and Kathleen Jones in reference to a fraud case.

Sergeant Zeutenhorst was asked to assisted a deputy with a traffic stop on Highway 210 and X Ave. Zeutenhorst assisted with transportation of two occupants to the Madrid Police department for charges in alcoholic related charges.

1030               Olmstead
Officer Olmstead was requested by the Sheriff’s Office to assist a Madrid resident with traffic control while they pulled their car from the ditch at the intersection of 300th St. and S Ave.

1905      Zeutenhorst
Sergeant Zeutenhorst stopped and cited Mitchell Johnson (24) and Curtis Rossing (25) both of Amery, WI for open container. Mr. Johnson was also tested for OWI however he tested under the legal limit.

2013    Zeutenhorst
Sergeant Zeutenhorst stopped and cited Scott Armstrong (16) of Huxley for speeding 96 MPH in a 55 MPH zone just west of the city limits on Highway 210.

Sergeant Zeutenhorst stopped and cited Kiera Archer (17) of Luther for speeding.

Officer Olmstead was dispatched to the 600 block of W. 5th St. for a burglary.  It was determined that juvenile relatives of the victim entered the residence without permission.  The victim did not wish to bring charges against the minors.

1845               Olmstead
Officer Olmstead responded to the 500 block of S. State St. reference a neighbor dispute over trespassing.  Olmstead advised both parties to stay off each others lawn and recommended a very tall fence.
